The Parish Hall Committee, a group of enthusiastic volunteers, manage the running and maintenance of the Parish Hall and its events.


The Committee would like to thank everyone who has volunteered over this year to keep the Hall ‘grounds’ so attractive, neat and tidy: John, Kevin and Robin for taking on the grass cutting duties, all those in the Garden Club who have planted and continued to care for the plant beds by the car park and the summer plant troughs, the Carney’s continued care of the grasses border and for Thursby WI’s planter by the car park entrance.

Planning a children’s birthday party next year? It can be a lot easier and more fun for everyone to have it in the Hall – particularly when you don’t know what the weather is going to do next!

For charity or non-profit hirers: The hire charge is £9.50 per hour for the Main Hall,  £6 per hour for the Meeting Room and £5 per hour for the IT Room.

Business hire: £18.00 per hour for any one of the rooms available: Main Hall or Meeting Room

Hire charges include the use of the kitchen facilities, heating, lighting, etc.

Optional charges:

£10 – full use of the kitchen facilities (hob/double ovens)

£50 – to have Booking Secretary arrange clean-up of Hall after an event. This MUST be arranged with the Booking Secretary at the time of booking.

* Aluminium Can & Foil Recycling. As of the 1 June 2017 – £696.20. Please leave clean aluminium tins, aluminium foil, copper, aluminium, lead (but NO steel cans which include Boddingtons, Carling and most Pepsi, pill packets, crisp packets and pet food packaging please) at the Parish Hall or Orchard House (Carlisle end of The Green). Thanks to the mystery person who left the aluminium carpet gripper strips. Great! We are no longer recycling unwanted mobile phones.
