The goal of the Parish council is to maintain and improve the quality of the Parish and the lives of those resident within it. Some of the areas of interest of the Council are listed individually; these are areas with specific ongoing work or information.

Other areas include  lighting, litter, open spaces, parking places, planning, playing fields, rights of way, roadside verges, seats, shelters, signs, traffic calming, transport, dog fouling, etc.

Most of what we don’t do is done by Cumbria County Council or Allerdale Borough council. Their web sites have an exhaustive A-Z list of services and contact numbers, which can be found at the head of each page. Other services can be found in our Useful Info pages
